Book Review 2-9 "How Elephants lost their Wings "

This is a story about elephant’s history. A long time ago, elephants could fly and they were so noisy. They had wings and enjoyed flying the sky. However, you know elephants are so big, so when they fly into trees, they smashed them. And they landed on houses, so the gods thought they had to solve the problem. The gods gave much food for elephants and when elephants were sleeping, the gods took away their wings! Instead of their wings, the gods gave elephants peacocks and banana trees.

It is interesting story, don’t you think so? If elephants can fly, it must be cause troubles!!! However, I like Danbo. Do you know? He is an elephant. It was created by Disney. Danbo has big ear, so he can fly to use his big ear. Danbo looks cute, so I want to see a flying elephant once time and I want to ride on his back!

I went to Mitsui Green Land with my friends. I waked up at 8:00 a.m. and my friends came to my house and picked me up. We didn’t decide where to go, but we left my house. First, we thought to go Fukuoka, so we pulled onto the freeway, but suddenly, one of my friends said Fukuoka is bit far, so we down the freeway soon and we decided to go Mitsui Green Land because it was near at there.

That day was so cold, but there was many people, children and their families, and couples. We went there 3 girls and 1 boy, so the boy told we must be seems strange. Surprisingly, he had only 2000 yen! Always he has lots money but that day, he thought we will go to Aso, so he didn’t have much money. It was interesting for us.

I don’t like a haunted house, but my friends wanted to go there. One of my friends, Misa doesn’t like it, too. She was scared rather than me. I said to her let’s go there, and we entered……

It was scared! I clung to its Misa’s arm and she was laughing. However, she was afraid it, too.

After that, we rode a very interesting machine, but I don’t remember that machine’s name, but it was good. We rode the machine and we down on the water. It was interesting. Only Misa was got wet, she luck fortune.

Next, we decided to go Aso, but suddenly one of my friends, Haruka said Aso is bit far. She was driving the car, so we followed her advice. We decided to go a karaoke, so we went to a karaoke near Hikarinomori. We had a good time at there.

Finally, we went to a restaurant. We ate delicious dinner and drinking. We couldn’t drive a car because everyone was drinking, so we decided to return home by our foot. It was nice day for me. I want to spend time with them more.

Stich

This cat’s name is Stich. He lived in New Zealand with an old woman. I met him in NZ when I stayed with a family. He likes go in a bag. How cute he is! My home grand mother likes cats. She has 4 cats in her house. When I entered the house, I was surprised.

I have never have cats or dogs in my house because my father didn’t make my sister and I sad when they died. However, when I was a child, I really want to have a dog. I like animals, but big dogs look scary...

When I was a primary school student, I have childhood friends. One of my childhood friends had a very big dog. He liked to watch someone was afraid of his dog. One day, he let the dog loose, in other words, he untied the dog!!! The dog liked me, so he jumped at me…. It was soooooo scary. I was crying a long time.

Any way, Stich is cute more than the dog, so I liked him very much. He liked my lap. So I was holding Stich on my lap in NZ.

I went to a restaurant with one of my friends, Mariko today. The restaurant is standing near PALUCO. The restaurant was nice; the restaurant’s main color is black, and there is a fountain. There is a not Western-style restaurant but it is Japanese style one. Atmospheric lighting for a room is dark, quiet and velvety. I like a cozy restaurant because I don’t like noisy place. I want to enjoy talking and eating with my friends.

Mariko taught me the restaurant and it makes me happy because I don’t know where good restaurant are. I was so looking forward to going there. As soon we entered the restaurant, we were surprised because the inside atmosphere was strange outside. We were excited.

We ordered fried chicken, and etc. We enjoyed talking many things a long time. At then, a waitress came to us and she said “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting for a long time. Would you like something to drink?” We couldn’t understand why she was apologized us immediately because we didn’t feel our dinner were late. We said to her with a smile: “it is no problem.” However, she suggest us something to drink, so I ordered a glass of oolong and Mariko ordered a cup of hot coffee. First, we thought we pay these drinks price, but these were free! Thank you for that waitress!!!

Dinner was delicious. We were satisfied. After the dinner, I ordered a chocolate cake. This picture is just the cake. I really like cakes. The cake’s taste was great, but too sweet… If you eat this cake, you have better eat it with a black coffee.

MR2-3 "Romeo & Juliet"

This movie is a tragedy. Romeo and Juliet are in love, but that love was not allowed because their families are enemies. However, Romeo and Juliet stickled to their loves whatever end became.

Romeo was in love a woman but his love was never come true, so he was struggled. One day, he heard a party held at the Capulet’s house. Romeo is a son of the head of the Montague family, and the Montague and Capulet families are enemy. One of Romeo’s friends let him to go the party because he thought it will divert Romeo from his lovesickness.

At the Capulet’s house, Juliet’s mother said to Juliet to meet a man named Count Paris. Paris is rich and handsome man, he wanted to marry Juliet, and Juliet’s parents wanted to so, too. However, Juliet was horrified. She wasn’t ready to get married because she was young.

Romeo and his friend, Benvolio and Mercutio arrived at Capulet’s house. Romeo’s friends were enjoying the party, but Romeo felt like a rest. He found a aquarium in the Capulet’s house, and then, he met a lovely girl, Juliet. Romeo thought how beautiful she was. Romeo fallen love with Juliet. He forgot his lover as he saw Juliet. They fallen love each other at once, but then, Romeo was realized Juliet is Capulet. Romeo groaned, but he didn’t forget Juliet. Juliet also loved him. They promised to get married in secret.

Romeo went to visit Friar Laurence. Laurence thought this marriage will change the Montague and the Capulet’s relation better. Laurence hoped both families never fight, so he decided to help their marriage. Romeo and Juliet were married, but after that, Tybalt offered to fight a duel with Romeo, but Romeo refused. It made Tybalt angry, and he pounced at him, Mercutio couldn’t stand it, and he begun fight with Tybalt. As a result, Mercutio killed by Tybalt. Romeo got angry and finally, he killed Tybalt by a gun. Therefore, Romeo was banished instead of death.

Juliet was disappointed to hear that news, but Friar Laurence gave her an idea. He gave Juliet a magic herbal potion. The potion will Juliet be in suspended animation.　Friar Laurence wrote a letter to Romeo, explaining everything, but Romeo couldn’t receive the letter, so he thought Juliet was dead. He decided to deink poison and he dies and lies beside Juliet. Romeo got the strongest poison and went to find Juliet. He kissed Juliet and drank the poison, at then, Juliet awoke. She found Romeo and she realized soon Romeo had drank the poison. She kissed his lips and shut her head to use Romeo’s gun. After that, everyone knew what was happened. Capulet and Montague promised never fight again.

I felt sad when I finished watching the Movie. If their families were not enemies, Romeo and Juliet could live happily, and they were needn’t die. I thought if Lawrence’s letter was arrived at Romeo it may change the end. However, the most problem was their families were bitter enemies. Their families realized their fault by Romeo and Juliet’s death, but it was too late.

MR2-2 The School of Rock

I enjoyed watching this movie with my friends. This is a comedy movie. I like comedy, because it makes me happy. From now, I’m going to explain about this story.

There was a man who named Dewey. He is a rock musician, but he was kicked out of the band by his band members, because he likes to attract attention himself. He freeloads on his friend, Ned. Dewey didn’t pay his rent , so Ned asked him to pay rent, prodded by his girlfriend. Dewey thought he would pay back the rent by winning a rock contest, but he was kicked out of his band. In this situation, the telephone rang andit changed his life.

He was hired by a famous and high level school , but actually, that school’s principal wanted to hire Ned, not Dewey. Dewey knew this and he decided to pretend to be Ned to pay rent. He didn’t teach anything in class. He always said play and have fun, it was rest time. He didn’t have drive.

One day, he heard his class’s music class. They played their instruments. It was a great performance. He thought they always seemed languid. Then, one idea came to Dewey. It was to enter the rock band contest with these children. After that, Dewey told them to enter this contest, and he added it was competition against other school’s children. He deceived them and made them promise never to say anything about this contest, because the school and their parents were strict.

He taught children about rock music, and they practiced it, but Dewey said he was a singer and leader. He thought only of how to win the band contest then. A principal in the school was strict, too but she said she was a humorous woman. However, she was a principal. She said that complaints by the children’s parents changed her.

The children changed little by little. They seemed languid at first, but now, they heartily enjoyed their band. A child who is playing the keyboard, he thought he was not cool, but Dewey said he was cool and he got confident. Tomica didn’t have confidence, too. She had a great voice but she didn’t have confidence because of her figure, but Dewey had the same worry and he said it isn’t important. Zack who is playing the guitar wrote a composition. It was his real thoughts. His parents think rock is not good, so they tried to make Zack to stop playing the guitar. However, Zack changed, he already had things that he wanted. His composition was cool, Dewey decided to play his composition.

However, his lie came out. The principal and children were shocked. Of course, the children’s parents, too, but the children decided by themselves to go to the band contest with Dewey. So, they ran that contest and it was very good. Their parents and the principal were moved and I think the children and Dewey were also.

I think this movie have some lessons. One of the lessons is “Do what you want”. And another lessons are “Find your object in your life”, “Enjoy heartily” “Study is not only important thing”, and “You don’t do band alone; every one is lead.” I learned these lessons. It was comedy movie, but it has a lot of lessons.

A Man

Today was very cold. I'm backing my apartment now. Today was a day of my partーtime job. I was working hardly. Any way, I like chocolate cakes, but he doesn't like sweats! I can't believe, but he told me if his girl friend makes a cake for him, he will eat all. It's good thing. Do you have a boy friend or a girl friend? If you don't have, please come here. I think I will work at there on Christmas. Chie said it will seem so lonely girl, but I'm satisfied with now my life. My most important person is my family. I like now calm days, I hope it would be go on forever, but some times I want to change.

Accident!

Working

Yesterday, I worked at a shop. It was first time for me to work there. I was nervous because I didn’t know anything what should I do. I thought first month I will do odd jobs because a man working the shop said so. However, I was taught a lot of things by a man. He looks gentle, but he is strict as work. I wanted to work at cloth shop, but I wanted to work near my apartment, too. So, I decided to work at book shop, but now, I want to work cloth shop! Sleeping

Sleeping is very nice and I like blankets because it feels very good. I want to sleep more and more, and I want to don’t think all things and relax and enjoy my time.

MR2-1 ”Shrek”

I like this movie and I have this movie. First, I introduce this story. This movie's hero is Shrek. But, he is a little different from the common hero. The Common hero is good looking, strong and loved by many people. However, "There is no hero that does not have some exception." Don't you think so? Shrek is living in a swamp alone. He was enjoying his life. But, one day, something unexpected happened: the fairy-tale inhabitants (such as the 7 dwarfs, the gingerbread man, fairies and so on) were banished. Surprisingly, they came to Shrek's swamp. He met a donkey there, his name was Donkey. Donkey was very talkative. He asked Shrek to help them. Of course, Shrek refused because he isn't a common hero. However, he wanted to get his own swamp back. So, he decided to go to the man who banishes these fairy-tale inhabitants with Donkey.

Shrek doesn't like other people because Shrek was hated by many people because of his appearance. He is an ogre with green skin. Therefore, many people shun contact with him and Shrek doesn’t want to be mixed up with people. Shrek and the Donkey arrived at the kingdom. There were no fairy-tale inhabitants. They met a king and the king said if Shrek and Donkey are able to help Princess Fiona, he take away the people who were banished. So, they leave for a tower surrounded by magma with a dragon. Barely, they rescued Princess Fiona. In the trip, Shrek, Donkey and Fiona became good friends step by step, and Shrek and Fiona love each other but they couldn't tell each other honestly.

One day, they quarreled over trifles; it was a little misunderstanding. After that, Fiona decided to marry the king but Shrek realized his misunderstanding. And, he prevented that wedding. Fiona accepted Shrek and they kissed. In fact, Fiona is very beautiful but she changes to an ogre like Shrek at night. When she kisses her prince, she gets her real appearance. But, her appearance doesn’t change, she remained an ogre. The king told her how ugly she was, but Shrek said to Fiona she was very beautiful. They got marry and lived happily. By the way, the dragon fell in love with Donkey!!!

This movie made me consider many things. I was surprised when Fiona didn't change. But, I like this result because this was her real appearance . If she changed to a beautiful woman, he would say the same words to her, but I felt that result was better. Whether she has a beautiful appearance or not is no matter for Shrek and it is also for Fiona. They are so beautiful internally. I like this movie very much!!!

1. What is your usual writing/blogging schedule each week? Where do write/blog?

A. I usually write blogs after classes in the KGU library or 14 building.

2. Please look at your first post from Spring term and compare it with what you are writing now. What improvements do you see with your English and what do you think you should work on to improve?

A. I was writing short sentence in spring term, but, I found I’m writing longer sentence than spring term. I think to write every week is improving my English.

3. What are your opinions of doing movie reviews? Please talk about the time it takes and the availability of the movies.

A. My opinion about movie reviews is it takes a long time, because we have to watch the theme of movie. Watching movie takes about 2 hours and then, I start writing MR and it takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour. Every one wants to watch the movie at library, so I didn’t watch it I wanted to see because there are only 1 per movies.

4. Please give your suggestions for the class

A. I think to write blogs everyday is not easy. I don’t have many things what to write, so I think 5 post every week is little difficult.

5. Please give some advice to the students who will take this class next year.

A. I can’t say good words…I think this writing class is little hard, but never giving up. Do your best and I do my best!

Book Review 2-8 "Jason and the golden fleece"

This is story of a man who became a king. His name is Jason and this book’s title is “JASON AND THE GOLDEN FLEECE.”

He lived in Greece and he was thought he will become a king of the island Iolcos. However, his Uncle had stolen his throne. One day, he met an old woman and the woman said to him Jason will become a great hero.

He went to Iolcos, but his uncle wasn’t pleased to see him. His uncle said if Jason brings him the presious Golden Fleece, his uncle gives him the throne. Jason decided to get them. Some people decided to go with Jason. For example, there was Atlanta, a beautiful huntress, Hercules, the strongest man in the world.

Few days past, they stopped at an island. There was a very big man who is the king. One of Jason’s crew fights him and won. Next, they met a wise old man. He was blind man and he said only if Jason gets rid of the Harpies, he give food for Jason and his crew and teach him what dangers Jason and his crew will meet. Jason and his crew fight them and all the Harpies were dead.

After few days, they were arrived Kingdome. Jason met the king, but the king didn’t want Jason to have the fleece. He had a cunning plan and he tried prevent Jason. However, the king’s daughter had fallen love with Jason on the spot. She thought she want to help Jason. She tried help him and Jason passed that the ling’s cunning plan.

After that, he found the Golden Fleece, but a massive oak had it. Jason and the king’s daughter, Medea tried to get it. At last, they got the Golden Fleece. They want to leave there as soon as possible, but the king chased them. He wanted to kill Jason. However, Jason survive thankful for Medea, they went back to Iolcos.

Jason’s uncle was surprised because he came back with the Golden Fleece. His uncle kept his word, so Jason became the king, and Jason and Medea were married. They lived there happily and admired by everyone!

Bicycle

I bought a bicycle the other day. I went to a shop with my friend, Mariko. There are some types of bicycles, and I decided a black one. I wanted to buy another pink one or that black one. I was puzzled as to which to choose. However, at last, I decided a black one because I thought I will not be able to ride this pink bicycle.

After that, Mariko and I backed our apartment. When I was arrived my apartment, I realized the bicycle hasn’t rock, so I went to a bicycles’ shop near my apartment. An old man taught me how to use it. I pay him and I returned.

At then, unexpectedly happening was happen. My cell phone’s straps got caught into pannier’s hole. I tried take off them, but I couldn’t… I tried again and again.
Finally, I decided to use scissors. However, I couldn’t, too because it is my talisman. I tried one more, at then, it was rid off!!!! I was so happy but it takes about 30 minutes.

I wonder I couldn’t ride a bicycle because I don’t ride it recently. When I was a little child, I thought I ride it. However, when I was a primary school and junior high school’s students, I went to there by my feet. When I was a high school student, I went the school by bus. Recently, I use a bus or walking, so I am going to practice to ride bicycle.

Book Review 2-7 "The Monster Gang"

When I find this book, I thought it is monster gangs’ story. For example, a monster will become a gang or monsters fight to become the top of gangs. However, when I turned over the first page, there is a human boy. When I turned over next page, there are his friends, and next page was, too. I thought isn’t this book’s story about monsters. I decided keep reading and I am sure to find monsters!

First, young children were playing. They want to play something fun, but that day was rainy. They lay around at Ellie’s room or drew pictures, but they were bored soon. They wanted playing something fun. At then, Ben thought of a great idea. It was gang game.

They thought a gang needs a good name, so they tried to think of gang’s name. And, it decided Monster Gang! After that, they talked about gang. They thought gangs need special costumes, and they decide make their own costumes. They promised gather next morning.

The Next morning, they came wearing special costume like a monster. They clambered into a tree house. They didn’t recognize each other because they are wearing costumes and it hidden their faces. They made creepy bats and etc. out of papers. Then, they were hungry, so they had a monster feast. They munched.

They begun guess each other over eating. The Monster Gang members are six. They could guess five members easily, but a yellow gang was difficult to guess because this monster looked like real monster. Other members thought that monster may Ellie because there were no Ellie. They decided Ellie’s costume was the best. That yellow monster was elected a boss.

They went on playing like to made secret signs. At then, they heard a voice. Everybody knew that voice; it similar Ellie’s voice. But, it was impossible, because Ellie was there and the yellow monster must be her. They rushed to the door ASAP, and looked. Surprisingly, there was Ellie and she was real Ellie. She said she had to take her dag for a walk, so she was late. Other children were confused…

They scrambled back into the room, but there was no yellow monster already. There was a note instead of the monster, but they couldn’t read it because it didn’t make sense: it was not common letter. When Ruby face up, there was a mirror and he thought of an idea. When he held the note up to a mirror, they could read and it did make sense.
At finally, you can see the monster gang, can’t you? Do you want to know this note said? But I can’t write that letter because if I write that note, it considered I was copy that sentence. So, if you want to know all about this secret, please read this “The Monster Gang.”

Okonomiyaki

I made it yesterday! It is Okonomiyaki. Do you like it? I like it so much. I often cook it. Yesterday, I used a yam and two spoonfuls of milk, and I cooked sunny-side up egg and I put it on the Okonomiyaki. After that, I pour some Okonomiyaki Sauce, Mayonnaise Sauce on it. Do you know “Enchanted”? It is a movie and I like it. It was produced by Disney, but it is little different common Disney movies. Common Disney movie is animation, but “Enchanted” is not only animation but also 3D.

There is a Princess Gisele in animated world, Andalasia. She lives there with animals. She can talk them because there is an animated world. She likes singing and she wish to meet her prince. One day, she meets a Prince Edward. He is handsome price and they fell in love each other. Prince Edward offered Gisele to marry him and she accepted, but a woman doesn’t feel good to hear that. She is Queen Narissa and she is a witch. She sends Gisele in New York City in the real world!

Gisele was surprised because real world is different in animated world. She asked passer where is here, but her wearing dress and it looks strange, so everyone ignore her. She was disappointed, but she meets a man who named Robert Philip. He is a divorced lawyer and he has a little daughter. Robert is realistic man, so he doesn’t understand about Gisele, but his daughter likes her. Therefore, they decided to live together. Gisele can speak animals in the real world, too. She cleans rooms with animals. Surprisingly, she doesn’t fear cockroaches. Robert and his daughter were surprised to see that sight. They thought Gisele may be true princess in animated world.

Gisele made her dress used Robert house’s curtain. First, Robert think Gisele is crazy and he never understand all things what she doing. However, little by little, they become love each other. They realize their character and good points.
One day, Prince Edward comes in the real world to seek Gisele with a chipmunk. That chipmunk is one of Gisele’s friends, but the Queen Narissa sent a man to prevent to meet Edward and Gisele. However, Gisele and Edward meet, but then, she already become love Robert. Robert feels same, but he has girl friends, too. They confused…

Moreover, the Queen Narissa comes in the real world!! She let Gisele drink poison and Gisele felt deep sleep like a log. Price Edward thinks true love kiss can wake her. He tries, but Gisele doesn’t wake. Edward let Robert to try. He thinks Gisele and Robert love each other. At then, when Robert kisses to her, she wake, but the Queen Narissa transforms herself a dragon and carry off Robert. Next, Gisele try to help him.

They fight to the Queen Narissa and finally, they win! Robert and Gisele kisses and the realistic man Robert says her he love her. Prince Edward and Robert’s girlfriend admit and they began to go out and they lived in animated world! So, every one get happy and they lived happily eternally.

I like this movie, when I watch this movie first time, I thought Prince Edward is poor, but it’s Disney movie. Disney movie have to end happily. If you have interest about this movie, please watch and try it!

About today

Today, I went shopping with my mother and my sister. I like shopping very mush. We want to buy clothes and small articles. We went Tsuruya, Paruko, News, and Hikarinomori. However, I didn’t find good clothes, so I couldn’t buy any clothes. My sister bought a jacket. That color is dark blown. I recommended her that jacket. I really wanted clothes, but I gave up. We spend 4 hours at Kumamoto city’s shops.

After that, we went to Hikarinomori. My sister drove. She is good driver, so I always asked her to drive. We looked around there about 3 hours and we bought some breads and 2 cups of drink. We enjoyed taking there.

Finally, we went to dairy in Kikuchi, we bought some foods and a fashion magazine. One of my friends, Kayo works there, so I met her and talking. I like her. I want to go shopping with her some day and I want to go a drive, too. She is active girl. I have gone to a batting center with her once. It was great, but little difficult for us. We couldn’t do well and other friends laughed us, but I like there. I want to go there again with Kayo.

I read a book that title is “The Incredible Present.” Do you know this book? I will tell you about this story. This story is fantasy story.

There was a girl who named Lily. Her parents were different with other parents. They always had some crazy project underway, so she often cannot meet them. However, she was looking forward to get her birthday presents by her parents, because her parents every year give her very unique presents. Her guessing was right. Her parent’s send her a small bag but it wasn’t usual bag. It was magical bag. She can get whatever her want into the bag. It was made by her parents. However, it was not good. If she says she wants a bed-making robot, it was appeared but the robot didn’t do exactly what Lily had in mind. Next, she wanted a space buggy, but not exactly the space buggy she wanted, too. However, she only asked the small magical bag only 6 wishes, but her wishes didn’t come true exactly. However, finally, she met her parents. It was a greatest present for her!!!

This story is interesting. I don’t want this bag, because it doesn’t work exactly. However, if it works exactly, I want it, but I can’t decide.

About Tapioka

Tapioka--- I love it so much. This food’s taste is nice. It is very soft. I like it, so I was walking at Tapioka drink shop once. That time was great for me. Customer is kind of me. Especially, young children came at this Tapioka drink shop. However, sometimes, they bothered me. They asked me to make special and original drinks. They said their favorite fruits or tastes. It was little difficult for me.

I sometimes drank these Tapioka drink to make myself. I liked making new drinks, so I often made original recipes. Now, I don’t have a part- time job. I quit that drink shop because of move, but I am drinking Tapioka drink once two weeks at least.

My recommendation is mango-a shaved ice with Tapioka on the top. That mango is fresh and it used a lot of the pulp of mangos. Tapioka is black one. You can eat it at Tsuruya! I hope you like this.

Book Review 2-5 "The Emperor’s New Clothes"

I read this book that title is “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Do you know this story? It is famous story in Japan, too. I think you have read this story once at least. When I was a little child, I read it several times.

This story is funny and it is a stupid emperor’s story. You can listen to this story with CD. Now, I’ll explain about this story… If you know this story, you needn’t read next 4 paragraphs. Please skip that.

Long time ago, there was an emperor, and he really loved clothes. He didn’t care about other things, he only care just his clothes. He had seven thousand, three hundred and twenty-two outfits! However, he never want to wear he wore once, so he suggested his servant, Boris, to find the finest clothes-makers in town.

Boris spend much time every day to find that person the emperor ordered, and one day, he found them, because two strangers rushed up to him and said they’re the finest clothes-makers in the world. Soon, Boris took them in a palace. Professed the finest clothes-makers in the world said they made magical clothes. According to them, these looked invisible clothes if anyone stupid saw. The emperor was very excited and he handing them a sack of money…

After that, those two men laughed. They couldn’t help laughing because it was a flat lie! They pretended to make clothes, but Boris couldn’t see it. Boris believed their lie, so he pretended to see that cloth, because he didn’t want to be presumed stupid. It applied other his feudatories and it same for the emperor, too.

The emperor went out in town, there were many people. Everyone had heard that only clever people could see his clothes, so people admired his clothes in chorus, but a small child said the emperor’s got nothing on! Then, his father agreed him and faster than a spreading fire, a whisper whizzed through the crowd. As the emperor heard their whisper, he felt cold and he saw that they were right. At that time, tow cheats cackled with glee.

It was very funny story. Since a long time ago, it is saying like that is an emperor says right, whatever it was wrong, it became right. This story’s interest thing is only a child could say right thing honestly. Adult have prepossession, and very know logic. In contrast children are unbiased and pure. The boy didn’t know well about logic, but he knows other things like saying what he thought right! It is very important thing to against if it was wrong.

I read this “Charlie and the chocolate factory” last week, but it was little difficult for me, but I have watched same movie once. Therefore, I could understand. Do you know this story? I had never seen this movie that title is School of Rock last week. However, I saw this movie last Friday, after last lesson. I thought it wills comedy and my idea was right. Jampper

Yesterday, I watched a movie. This movies title was Jumper. I saw this movie alone at my apartment. This movie’ story was a man who can jump everywhere he’s seen battled peoples who didn’t think jumper was good for world.
This story’s hero was that man who can jump. He got this power when he was 5 years old, but he didn’t know his first jump. He thought his first jump occurred when he was 15 years old. In winter, he was nearly drowned at 15 years old. Then, he jumped at library from a lake covered of ice.

His mother ran away when he was 5 year-old. He didn’t think his father is good father, so he thought it was a chance for him to run away like his mother. He ran away and he stayed a hotel. At there, he thought of a not good idea; it was bank robbery. He used his power and he robbed much money from a bank without open the depository’ door. He was not arrested because there were no clue and everyone couldn’t understand the way he robbed money.

Some years later, he backed his hometown. He went to see his old friends. He met her and he took her in Rome. She’s wanted to go there when she was a little child, so she went there with him. However, she suspected him because his act was strange and she didn’t believe he was working at bank because he didn’t like math.

He met a man in Rome when he was alone. The man had a special power like him. He could jump everywhere he want, too. He taught him about “Jampper” and another group they want to kill Jampers. He decided to fight it out….

My time

How was your holiday? I spend good time. On Saturday, I took good sleep at my apartment, and watching movies. On Sunday, I went back my home town and I went to go a restaurant with my family to have a dinner. We sometimes go a restaurant and we have dinner. I like it but, I like dinner my mother made, too. After that, I went to Hikarinomori. I bought a jacket! On Monday, I backed my apartment. I listened to music and watching TV. It was pretty good for me.

Anyway, I want to get a part-time job. I always pick up Get Support on Monday, so I have many these book magazines. I want to work at small cloth shop or general store. I have to find something part-time job as soon as possible. I’m going to find it not later than next month!!!

Book Review 2-3 "The Magical Book"

I read this book. This story was so nice. I have never read this story, so this is first time for me to read it.
This story is fairy tale. One day. A boy became a King. Then, he found a old book. He really wanted to read that book, but a chancellor didn’t accept to read that book because that book was not safe. He didn’t know that mean. In fact, the book was magic book. He opened the book and some animals found up the page. He enjoyed it, but one day, a dragon stepped from the book and flew away! The dragon ate everything, so a boy was utterly miserable. He decided to do something and he opened the book once more.
Then, “Hippogriff” was found up in the book. He looked like a horse, except for one thing. He had two enormous feathery wings. They fight to the dragon, and finally, they won the dragon! Fortunately, everything that was eaten by the dragon was safe and they came back their house. And, the dragon back into the book!
I like this story and I enjoyed reading because I have never read this story. I want to read this magic book, but I don’t want to meet the dragon like him!

This is my report. I wrote about club activities in KGU and Unitec in NZ. I wrote this report for my class. If you have nothing to do, please read it.

KGU has a lot of clubs. Many of students belong to something club. We make friends in a club, and get on with other club members. We often do each club activity but, mostly, we enjoy drinking and driving with member of a club. I thought weather many clubs in Unitec like KGU or not. That is the reason why I decided to investigate about club activity.

First, I am going to explain about KGU Clubs activity. KGU has many clubs. Top of all clubs, there are a executive. Following the executive, there is culture clubs, club unions, sports clubs and workshops. These clubs have a leader.

KGU has 22 culture clubs. For example, there is Literature Club, Tea Ceremony Club, Walking Club, and so on. About 1,000 to 1,300 students belong to these culture clubs.

There are 15 club unions, and about 500 to 700 people belong to these club unions. For example, there is Bowling Club, Resort Research Club, etc.

30 sports clubs are there in KGU. For example, there is volleyball Badminton club, Tennis Club, Baseball Club, and all the like. There are about 30 students per club.

Finally, we have some workshops. For example, there is Geography Workshop, Marketing Workshop, Computer Workshop, and so on.

Next, I am going to explain KGU main activity. In April, we held orientation and bidding freshman. In May, we held a big Welcome Party. In this party, we introduce freshman over drink. In June and July, we do lots club activities. For example, we go for a drive, bowling, going sea, with club members. We make many friends through our club activities. In August, we prepare our school festival and parade. These are very big festival for all clubs in KGU. They enjoy competing weather which club will be winning. We start to prepare for them before two months. In November, we held a school festival. It runs 3 days. Each club sell own food and other things. Moreover, some contest was held such as Most Beautiful Girl in KGU Contest, Most Handsome Man in KGU Contest and so on. At night of final day, we display fireworks in the night sky and make much ado with listening music. And, we can see beautiful laser beams in the night sky. In December, senior students took over pupil students. Beyond that, all clubs have each activity. Club activity is very important some KGU student’s life.

In contrast, Unitec has original clubs. Next, I recite all Unitec clubs. There is USU Film Club, Outdoors Club, Village Club, The Active Film Club, Unitec Salt and Light Christian Fellowship, Football Club, Gaming Club, Squash Club, Christian Club, Vegetarian and Vegan Society, Unitec Toastmasters Club.

From here, I explain about USU. The USU was formed in 1977. The main function of the USU is to uphold students’ interests, provide services and ensure that all students are being treated fairly. The USU is student-run, student-focused and forded by student money. At the USU’s core is their commitment to represent and work for their members. Their purpose is to provide a means of communication between the members and external community, to advance the welfare and social life of members.

Especially, I was interested in 3 clubs in Unitec. These are Vegetarian and Vegan Society, Unitec Salt and Light Christian Fellowship and Christian Club. So, I explain these 3 clubs contents frankly to refer Unitec home page.

First, USU Vegetarian and Vegan Society is a club of animal rights and vegetarian life style. They have a potluck dinner, a film event, or a cooking class, and in offiliation with save Animals from Exploitation.

Next, Unitec Salt and Light Christian Fellowship’s member are student group who came from all sorts of different nationalities and church backgrounds but they are one in Christ. They meet up to pray, study God’s Word and encourage one another regularly every week. They spend some time in fellowship together, hangout, have fun. For example, they enjoy bowling, shared dinner.

Finally, USU Christian Club’s member sing together, have lunch together on Tuesday and share from the pure word of God. Apart from providing free lunch they also offer free commentary or Bible study with 9,000 extensive footnotes to help in concerning Jesus Christ their Lord.

In NZ, Vegetarian are account for 10 percent. In Japan, Vegetarian are nearly 0 percent except immigrant from other countries. Therefore, KGU has not Vegetarian Club. Moreover, Unitec has two different of Christian clubs. These seem like very similar. In fact, both are related to Christ. These are same at this point. I think people’s interest is relative to number and if people interested in, they distinct an appreciation of the shades of meaning. Therefore, I thought there are two kinds of Christian Clubs.

Many kinds of clubs are related to their country. For example, these are related in religion, faith, people, culture and tradition. I can take these USU Vegetarian and Vegan Society, Unitec Salt and Light Christian Fellowship, KGU Tea Ceremony Club and KGU Calligraphy club along the lines mentioned above. Because, as has been mentioned, vegetarian are characteristic of Western Europe and there are some vegetarian in NZ. Actually, I met some vegetarian. They like animal very much. Their main food was potato because potato is a rich food. And, Christian is religion. In NZ, Church of England are account for 14 %, Roman Catholic are 13 %, the Presbyterian Church are10 %, Methodist are 3 %, Baptist are 1 %, Irreligion or Non-responding person are 38 %.(It was survey in 2006) Like this, Christ is tie in NZ deeply. Equally, Tea ceremony and Calligraphy are traditional culture of Japan. Both of them have a long past and these are tie in our life. In this way, I learned these points of club activity. KGU and Unitec have some clubs that is related in own country, religion, culture, tradition.

Finally, my question that is main activity of Unitec was same in KGU was solved. I come to the conclusion that Unitec student enjoy not only just their club activity but also hangout, bowling and so on like KGU students. It is all I learned.

Colorful!!!

I ate cookies that were made in NZ. It was not bad but not good. That mean it was so-so. NZ’ snacks were very colorful. When I saw these snacks, I was surprised. There were many colorful food not only snacks but also drinks. There were drinks that colors were green, yellow, blue, orange and pink! I was so surprised because Japanese drink was different. However, when I drunk Ryokucha in NZ, my host mother was surprised that deep green color. I thought it was difference that we fell strange was related in our country! Any way, I want to eat delicious foods in the world.

About Shrek

I like the movie that title is Shrek. I saw the Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party. It was very interesting and fantastic. I like their voice so much. Especially, I like Donkey’ voice. Donkey’s voice is Eddy’s voice. He is cool, so I like him and his voice. Moreover, I like Donkey’ voice in Japanese. His voice is similar as Eddy. Therefore, I could listen well. Fiona’s voice is cute. I like Cameron too. She is cute and beautiful, and of course I love her voice too! I want to see this Karaoke Dance Party in Japanese because I like Japanese casts. I like both English and Japanese casts so much.

Yesterday, I slept well. I was fell sleep at 8:00 p.m. I really like sleeping because I like have a dream. Always, I have very interesting dreams. Yesterday, I had two classes and I was finished the last class at 2: 40 p.m. After that, I was going to go to the KGU library but I didn’t go there because yesterday was cloudy. I was going to go there with one of my friends, Erika. However, we didn’t want to go there and study more. I went back my apartment as soon as possible, and I started clean my room. In cleaning, I felt so sleep, so I took a catnap on my sofa. I like my black sofa. The sofa is very useful. When I sleep at night, I use it as a bed. In fact, I want to a white one, but there were nothing white sofa-bed. Therefore, I bought this black sofa. I always use this sofa!

I heard sad news on Saturday. When I heard that news, I couldn't believe and I couldn't say anything for her. One of my friend and I couldn't believe. So, we couldn't cry for him. A Cute Dog

I saw this cute dog the other day at up street. He is very cute. Many people took his picture. One of my friends, Risa, took his picture too. And, she gave me this picture. I dunno whether this dog is male or female. But, we are thinking he is male! If you know this dog's sex, please teach us! Any way, his sunglasses are very nice and I like his hat too☆ We were lucky to see this cute and funny dog. I want to see him again.

Any way, I am seeking a part time job now. Please tell me if you know something good part-time jobs! I have lots of stuff I want to buy. For example, I want to bags, clothes, stoles, a watch, etc. So, I need much money. Always, I don’t use much money because I don’t have many things to buy. However, fall is difference! I really like　clothes and small article in fall.

Book Review 2-2

I read this book that title is "The Dragon and the Phoenix." There were a dragon and a phoenix. The dragon lived beside a magic river and the phoenix lived deep inside the forest. They lived each other's place. One day, they met and they found a shiny pebble on the sand. They washed and polished it. And the pebble became a pearl. They loved it and treat it very carefully. But, the Queen of Heaven saw the pearl because the pearl shone brighter than stars and the sun. She wanted to that pearl and she sent a guard to steal it. In the morning, the dragon and the phoenix was surprised because, the pearl was gone. They looked in a river and the dark forest but, they couldn't find there. Then, they find it in the sky. They quarreled with the queen. At the time, the pearl fell from the sky. It became a shiny lake and the dragon and the phoenix lay beside the lake and, and they are still there
now...

I enjoyed reading this book very much. I was surprised when I read last sentence. It was that the dragon and phoenix are still there. I thought it is fantastic story.

I really like this movie 'Shrek.' I have this movie in my house. When I was a high school student, I went to a movie theater with my friends. We enjoyed seeing that movie with delicious pop corn! After that, we took a photo and ate ice creams. It was special ice cream because it was made imaging Shrek' characters!!!

Book Review 2-1

I read this book that title is "Clever Rabbit and the Lion." I introduce this book. Long time ago, there was a lion. He had very big paws and sharp claws. He thought he was a king of that jungle. He was haughty, so haughty. He wanted to eat all animals except him.

Other animals didn't like him and they frightened about him because that lion was very big and he had great paws and claws. They feared to eaten by him. But, there was a clever rabbit. He said he had a plan. Next day, he came up at the lion. Soon, the lion said he want to eat him. But, the rabbit said to him there are another great lion in that jungle. The haughty lion was suspected. He thought he is a only lion in that jungle. The rabbit want on to say, another lion is greater. The rabbit led the haughty lion to the deep and wide river. The rabbit said a great lion was lived there. The haughty lion looked into the deep river; he found a lion on that river. However, of course, it was his face. His face was reflected on that river like a reflex mirror, but the lion didn't realize. He leaped in the river... and he was nearly drowned. He said help me but there were no animals to help him. The lion was never came back that jungle.

I thought the lion is poor. I can't say anything about this story because it is difficult for me to say about it. I like happy end but it is not real happy end for me. I wish this lion was helped by animals and he changed, after that, they lived together happily.

Pudding

Yesterday, I made a pudding because I wanted to eat a pudding suddenly. But, I didn't have strainer. So, I couldn't strain. And, I didn't have much time then. Therefore, I decided to use a microwave. It took about 3 minutes. After that, it chilled in a fridge. I thought it wasn't enough. I made caramel sauce and put it on a pudding. It looks not good but taste was not bad. I want to make other tastes puddings. I will make puddings tomorrow.

Today is first Writing class. I really enjoyed summer vacation, so I am little nervous. Writing blog is hard for me, don't you think so? But, I like look around other people's blogs. Many students’ blog are so beautiful. I like theirs blogs.
Any way, I went to shopping with one of my friend yesterday. She drove at “Kurea” and “Paruco”. We enjoyed shopping and driving. After that, we had much time because we went shopping at morning. We hung out long time. Then, we met a man. He was a hairdresser. He said he cut ours hair free. We were happy to hear that, and we went to his beauty salon. My friend had hers hair cut short! She became cuter, but I hadn't my hair cut short because I didn't have courage.

Wed.06/08/08

Today, we went to the St. Lukes Shopping mall. I like shopping very much, but I had little anxiety. That is fear of money. I didn't have confidence to use money easily. However, my anxiety was gone easily. Using money is easy. I really enjoyed shopping with my friends.
First, we ate break fast; sand witch, cake, orange juice. It was good but too big. We couldn't eat all. After that, we started shopping; we looked around from ground floor to first floor. There are many cloth shops, but we couldn't find good and cute cloth. Long time, we tried finding good one. Finally, my friend I bought one cloth.
Then, we ate an ice cream. I like Japanese food than that of NZ but, ice cream is delicious like Japanese. What's more to say, I like NZ' ice creams because one scoop is too enough and little cheap. Especially, I like mango taste. I ate mango ice cream.
From afternoon, we studied at Unitec University. We enjoyed conversation and game.
Today is also nice like yesterday!
